Ohio in the Rough
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
We had a wonderful group from Ohio that chartered two boats Friday. Anytime two boats are chartered with family that means the competition is on. The crew of the fishing taxi took to the seas hoping to score a nice Cobia even more than one if possible but the seas were not cooperative. It was a hard Southeast wind with two to three foot chop other words a White knuckle day. But we searched just the same knowing that we would not see the cobia on top we were able to catch 14 nice Spanish mackerel improved to be a beautiful day with a few bumps. When returning back to the dock and the party had their picture taken the other boat return and they had 16 Spanish mackerel so unfortunately the fishing taxi was not the Victor today but the Ohio family had plenty of fish to go home and eat. Everyday is a great day to take a child fishing so load up your kids book a trip and let’s go fishing on the fishing taxi from the crew of the fishing taxi tight lines!
